Todd Sims
Head Coach

Todd Sims

Coach Sims is a 1984 graduate of Perrysburg High School. He has coached football and girls basketball for the past 22 years. He also coached softball for two years and track for one year.

Sims played basketball in high school. He was a two year starter in ’83 and ’84 under Larry Clark. He was captain of the team his senior year as well as 1st team All NLL and All District VII. He was also All NW District and All Wood County. His claim to fame was that he held the single game scoring record until recently with 40 points against Toledo Scott High School. He did not miss a shot in that game (12 for 12 from the field, 16 for 16 from the foul line)

Coach Sims has been married for ten years to his wife, Stephanie. His son Drew is 9 years old and his daughter Katie is 6 years old.

Coach ross

Coach Ross is in his 7th season coaching basketball at Perrysburg High School. He has over 10 years experience coaching basketball in the Perrysburg community.

Coach Ross played baseball and golf at DeVilbiss High School and went on to play baseball at Defiance College. During his athletic career he was fortunate to have been on teams that played in the Pee Wee World Series and win the City League Championship in baseball. “I have been blessed to be coached and influenced by outstanding leaders of adolescents”.

My only claim to fame is my wonderful family, wife Cindy of 25 years, daughter Rachael a former PHS 1st Team NLL in soccer who went on to become a Captain while playing at Bowling Green State University. My youngest daughter Lindsay a former two sport varsity athlete at PHS whose promising career was cut down by severe knee injuries.

JV Coaching Staff Biography
Ryan DeMars
Head Coach

Coach DeMars is in his 12th year of coaching girls’ basketball at Perrysburg. His first two years were spent as the freshman coach where he compiled a 20-18 record. Currently, Coach DeMars is beginning his 9th season with the JV team and has compiled a 122-38 record.

Coach DeMars moved to Perrysburg when he was eight years old and is a 1993 graduate of Perrysburg High School where he was taught by the likes of current AD Ray Pohlman and played freshman football under Coach Todd Sims. He attended Ohio University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. 

For the past 11 years, Coach DeMars has been employed at Rossford High School where he teaches American History, Psychology, and American Social Problems. In addition to his duties at Rossford and Perrysburg, Coach DeMars is also the Varsity Softball Coach at Perrysburg High School.
