Friday, December 7th was another
typical performance by the Perrysburg JV squad. Once
again, Jacket teamwork dominated Maumee, as the
Panthers struggled to find team chemistry.
Week to week it is difficult to pick
a Perrysburg stand-out as all of the girls find a
way to contribute to the team's success. Scoring
points is no exception. Kaitlyn Dimmerling had 10
points, while Becca Tudor and Maddy Williams added 8
points each. Samantha Gremler contributed 3
buckets. Megan Kaczinski ended the night with 4
points. And not to be left out, Kelsie Draper, Nadia
Mufti, and Lauren Diehl each accounted for 2 points.
The offense of the Lady Jackets was
impressive, but defense still seems to be the JV
strong point. The Lady Panthers struggled with the
full court press and often turned the ball over even
before crossing half-court.
Kaylee Draper led the team with 5 of the
Perrysburg's total 18 steals. The game ended with a
lopsided 42-12 win for Perrysburg, bumping their
record to 2-0.
Next week the girls hope to improve
their rebounding against the Rossford Bulldogs on
December 14th at PHS. |
